How to plump lips naturally: BUT FIRST: Are small lips attractive? And why you should love your small lips!
I’ve always had small lips and there were times I desired a plusher pout. Often times I did wonder, “Are small lips attractive?” Or, “Are small lips unattractive?”
Small lips are most definitely attractive in a certain way. Perhaps you cannot please everyone and some may have a preference for larger lips, but there is a definite beauty to small lips, their delicate nature, and how they fit the face.
The Delicate Look
They’re delicate. Some men love and appreciate the delicacy in a woman. Larger lips, although are very WOW, associate with ultra femininity and youthfulness, may be overtly sexual for some people. Too seductive. Especially with injections, which can look sexy of course but can look overdone.. However some men prefer a more natural look.
I still have small lips but know how sexy I could look with them all done and plumped up. Aside from this, I have never had a man tell me my lips were too small.
Instead I’ve always been told my lips [are]..
- “Fit your face“
- “Look so cute”
- “Easy to kiss”
- “Look sweet”
Even if there would be some sort of comment made, I think I would handle it in a similar manner as how I handle being criticized for being naturally thin. There is a certain assertiveness you develop about yourself, a confidence.

No matter what features you may have that you may have an “issue” with, a little bit of charm in your personality can always blur the imperfections. Charm has an ability to change one’s perceptions of you.

The Natural Un-Done Look
Many men prefer a more natural looking lip. Natural is refreshing.
Yes, plastic surgery is a choice and yes it can look good. But we have seen the effects of it, the costly up-keep, and the negative aspects of it.
The point here is that there is a beauty to the natural look and if it is your preference, keep your small lips and learn to appreciate them.
There is a simplicity, an authenticity, and an originality in owning your natural features. There is a certain admirable confidence in someone taking pride in their natural features.
As I have mentioned before, there is nothing wrong with wanting to improve our looks and ourselves. We can however enhance our pretty little pout in a more subtle and natural way.
How To Embrace & Enhance Small Lips | How To Plump Lips Naturally
To make them look more feminine.
- Lip Liner
Lip liner on the cupid’s bow. Make your philtrum look shorter with this technique. A shorter philtrum gives the illusion of a larger pout.
Experiment with the liner and where you’d put it. Just above the middle of the cupid’s bow? Just on the lower middle of the lip? Where does the liner look most natural and effortless in creating a prettier and slightly enhanced lip shape?
Now I’d probably avoid outlining your entire lip, it’s hard to keep up all day with it and you have to keep reapplying.
Just a few small touches with the liner really can have that effect and also keep your lips looking natural and not like you are trying too hard with the lipstick. Although I DO have an appreciation for the 90’s lips with dark lip liner and love to enhance my lips for fun pictures!
- Colors
I have noticed that light pinks & nudes have the best effect in creating a slightly larger looking lip when using lipstick alone. These colors, since they’re a bit subdues, can also draw the attention more to the eyes if you choose to keep the attention on other features other than your lips.
- Face Yoga
Always consult a professional prior to beginning any new additions like this in your routine. I have done some mild face yoga for my lips and you do see some results. Never anything drastic but very much so enhanced in a natural way.
- Keep Them Soft
Soft lips are always sexy, no matter how big or small. Keep them silky for cracked lips are a sign that they are not well kept.
- Highlight
Highlighting just above the cupids bow, or down the philtrum create a slight pouty lip effect.
- Always enhance your more feminine features or wear something to bring in the femininity. I know what it is like to have features that aren’t the typical pouty lips, small nose kind of sexy. Small lips are a delicate feature, there are people who truly love the delicate nature of small lips. A natural look is very appreciated as well especially when one look seems to go very trendy and suddenly everyone looks very similar.
Your presence has a greater effect in being perceived as sexy or attractive than just one feature.
If there’s just something about you, the way you carry yourself, your personality, your charm, then your “flaws” or insecurities rather, seem to blend away and you are perceived as more attractive.
There are so many forms of sexy, so don’t fall into the one category of having to have this feature of larger lips or having to have this feature to be considered really be sexy. It’s a trap you can confidently avoid.
Being Sexy & Attractive is a combination of an array of things, physical & non-physical. It is an entire presence about you that doesn’t just come down to the lips.
