How To Have Short Hair And Still Look Feminine
Femininity can be heightened by our looks and our mannerisms. To be more feminine we must create more opposition to the masculine qualities. Thus being said, short hair is often associated with masculinity and longer hair with femininity.
This does not mean anything concrete. Though most men prefer long hair due to it’s opposition of their male features, a woman can still be perceived as feminine & sexy with short hair, a pixie cut, buzzed hair etc.
To balance the perception that short hair is less feminine one would have to “ultra-fy” or slightly exaggerate the other attributes she has. You can look at what feminine qualities of yours you’d like to highlight, for example plush lips or bombshell figure. And you can also look at what features or parts you’d like to “soften” and feminize a bit more.
For example, I most certainly do not have hyper feminine facial features yet most people perceive me as super feminine. I have a sharp nose (as opposed to a cute upturned feminine nose) and a sharp chin. When we want to look more feminine we need to look at what we want to soften. Some of us may feel our facial features could use that, or perhaps some may want to have a more feminine body. If your body is athletic be proud of it, but there is also nothing wrong with wanting to soften it or play up the more feminine parts of it.

The shorter the hair, the more it reminds me of a classy updo. When our hair is pulled back, pulled up or pinned back we actually expose some of our most very feminine parts.

A more muted tone of lipstick, slightly flesh colored, really softens a face if there are some super strong features you’d like to make slightly less noticeable. Nude colors really help to blend, and create more balance, especially if you want to emphasize your eyes and brows. They’ll become the primary focus of the face. And eyes we can always make even prettier thanks to soft brown or dark eye pencils and a coat or properly applied mascara.
Foundation or a tinted moisturizer can also help create some of that softness & add balance. I’ve noticed a difference when some women wear no makeup and when they wear just a little. That “just a little bit” that she adds on can really smooth, soften and feminize the face.
