How To Get Pretty Feet & How To Make Feet Look Feminine
My size ranges depending on the type of shoe I wear but trust me I would love to wear a size 6.5 in shoes. With trial and error throughout the years, I have learned and implemented so many tricks to making my feet look cute, feminine and smaller.
To make feet look feminine, we focus on the feminine details and colors we use in our shoes and socks along with other details that will make them appear more delicate and smaller.
- Use Of Soft Colors
- Feminine Details
- Details That Make Feet Look Smaller
The details to make feet look more feminine and smaller will be throughout this entire article. You will learn how to make them look more feminine and petite in heels, boots, socks, and when they are bare.
In general we want to make feet look prettier, healthier and well cared for. That becomes the base, especially if the weather is warmer.
To do so, always keep your feet;
- Soft and smooth, polished with a scrub
- Well moisturized
- Polished with feminine colors

EXTRA BONUS TIP:
ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FEET FRESH. THIS IS SUPER FEMININE.
- I love Using a Scented Scrub in the Shower for the Scent Lingers.
- Add a Dab of Perfume on Your Ankles.
- Use a Soft Scented Lotion to Moisturize Them.
- Wear Fresh Socks. Do NOT Re-wear Them.
- Keep Interior of Shoes Clean & Fresh.
You can find my favorites at many stores, I linked them here from Amazon if you’re interested, I also get a small sprinkle of a commission if you make a purchase through my link and I thank you for that.
The Dove Scrub smells so warm, gourmand yet powdery and sexy and really keeps my feet soft. Plus the scent lingers. For an extra touch of perfume I love the Nemat Perfume Oil on my ankles, use any perfume or scented lotion you feel sexy in.
Any body oil will make your skin shimmer, I like this one from Neutrogena. Always check for allergens and don’t oil the bottom of your feet, it can be slippery of course!

IN SOCKS
To make feet look smaller in socks, select ones that are super no show. When you wear them, they will expose more skin of the foot. In contrast to the actual material it will create an illusion of a smaller foot. Also, pay attention to the designs, patterns and colors.

STORY TIME!
I remember seeing someone online with normally rather large hands and feet. The camera panned down to her lower half in one video and I noticed her feet looked tiny that day!
It was all due to a pair of two toned socks, in white and light pink [similar to the ones linked below]. I got myself a few pairs that day!
Listed below are some nice options for socks that can make your feet look smaller.
Always read reviews before making purchases and decide if in fact it is a good purchase for you!
IN BOOTS
I have noticed that the larger the foot size, a longer length of boot is more appropriate. This creates better proportions. A tiny foot in a long over the knee boot can look disproportionate, but a larger foot looks more balanced in an over the knee boot.
The length of the boot can increase in correlation to the foot size. Choose a longer boot going up the calves. Knee high or even thigh high. The larger the foot, the higher the boot. This creates balance.
IN GYM SHOES
Some gym shoes have a straight or narrow shape. Opt for more of a rounded shape when trying to make feet appear more feminine or small.
Color blocking is also fantastic as it breaks apart the length of the foot, tricking the eyes. You can select shoes with funky colors for the blocking design or softer more neutral colors for a classy and minimal look but with the same effect.
- Rounder Toe
- Color Blocking Design
- Bottom Platform Support
If you look at the white gym shoe above, the different textures used in the design create a smaller looking foot. The eyes gravitate toward the inner middle portion of the entire shoe. The foot almost seems to be that small.
IN HEELS
An open toe heel creates a contrast between the skin and the material of the shoe creating an illusion of a smaller foot.
Also, the foot is on an incline in a heel further creating the look of smaller and more feminine feet. Sling back straps are super dainty, delicate and create more feminine looking feet.

Here are a few ideas from Amazon.
You can gather ideas, research and make a purchase or simply get ideas and find similar ones at a store. Some of the more dazzling shoes can be expensive but you can always find sales!
IN FLATS
Because feet are flat in flats we must take extra consideration to break apart the length of the foot tricking the eye into a smaller looking foot.
Using colors or designs to visually break up the length of the foot is quite effective in achieving a smaller looking, more feminine looking foot.

BAREFOOT
To keep your bare feet looking feminine, pay extra close attention to them prior to exposing them. A foot scrub in the shower along with a soft moisturizer to follow are key for soft skin that glows and looks sexy.
Have your toe nails evenly filed, and keep them freshly painted with a lovely shade. Avoid nude shades as they can elongate your feet creating a larger appearance.
In the first section of this article, I created a little chart with some suggestions for nail polish colors that create more feminine looking feet and colors that can do the opposite.
A light hint of color can make them look sexier if you have some marks or veins you want to disguise or soften a bit.
Keeping your legs soft and shaved in general and your toes shaved (if you’d like and if you have hair on them!) will contribute to the overall feminine effect.

AVOID
I don’t want to necessarily say avoid, more like, “Be cautious” of the following if you have larger feet.
- Platformed Heels: Can create a chunky heavy look and bigger foot overall.
- Close-Toed Espadrilles: As lovely and classic as they are, they can make a foot too look clunky or bigger especially if you have thinner legs. If the wedge is higher, it has the potential to create a smaller looking foot.
