I want to go a bit further as to everything else I had tried and implemented with success in looking better without makeup and actually getting a younger and more feminine looking face.

Skin Texture

Okay, starting with the basics before we go further in detail, just to recap.

Controlling skin breakouts and keeping skin supple & plump creates an attractive and healthy texture of the skin. We know consumption of healthy food can minimize inflammation which means possible less acne flare ups.

Cutting out a lot of sugar and unhealthy foods, and replenishing my body with a surplus of fruits and veggies along with a simple skin care routine is what cleared years of horrible breakouts.

I personally no longer find the need to exfoliate with a rough scrub after finding a brilliant cleanser that does so for me in a gentle manner. My idea of double cleansing is the gentle cleanser and then the SA Cleanser from Cerave that exfoliates without abrasion.

This along with a spritz of thermal water to let my simple Vitamin C serum from Cerave penetrate deep into the skin. For a super softening addition for any dryness in my face, I at times will use the Cerave Moisurizing Cream. I use this cream all over my body daily.

I went from testing countless products including all the top french skin care products (which may be incredible for some people) but realized that good old fashioned Cerave was the best for my skin. once I simplified that routine with top products, I got rid of a decade of stubborn acne on my jaw. My skin has yet to achieve the flawless look but it’s far more comfortably clear than it has ever been before.

Skin Vibrance

Mastering this trick alone will instantly make you look better without makeup.

When choosing clothing to wear (especially when being bare faced) select shades that compliment your skin tone and give you a prettier, healthier look. If you have more yellow tone in skin wear yellow or golden colors or colors with some warmth.

This will help you select colors that bring a vivaciousness to your complexion based on your skin tone, hair coloring and eyes. All of these play amongst each other and selecting the right colors to wear will either brighten your face, make you look good without makeup, or make you look dull if improper colors are chosen.

For the most simple way of finding your colors, hold a garment up to your face in the mirror. Does this color brighten your complexion? Make you look fresher? Prettier?

Facial Glow

Healthy color and glow of the skin is most definitely attainable without makeup. There are several studies that mention increased attractiveness after consumption of fruits and vegetables due to the carotenoids giving the skin some color.

Juicing vegetables and just increasing your intake of them create a vibrance in the skin that is unsurpassable.

I will say juicing is the quicker route of achieving this but always look into this with good research and speak to your physician before trying it out if you haven’t done so just yet.

It has been shown that carrots produce a natural color similar to a light tan in the skin.

Facial Glow & Contour Cheat Trick:

Although it isn’t necessarily makeup, it is somewhat similar. I would always use a light coat of self tanner on the face for a glow without makeup.

Taking It Up A Step For Those A Little More Advanced:

I’d contour my face just a bit to give even more depth. I’d put a little bit of the self tanner at my temples, contour my forehead some, and at my jaw. This step you must be very careful as if you use too much or leave it on too long it can leave dark and obvious streaks on the face, Oh my!

Soft colors create an overall softening effect on our facial features and bring out a femininity within. Mauves, blush pinks, lilacs, creams, ivory colors are some to name. Try on several colors and see what creates the most beautifying effect to you.
